[Tiramisu515]

I have a 10 year old sony dvd/cd player with a internal 24bit d/a converter. It is a good player and I don't think they make such good quality player anymore. It is chucky and heavy compared to the newer playerswhich are slimmer and lighter with probably less quality d/a converter.
 
My question is should I upgrade my sound with a DAC. Would a DAC improve my current 24bit d/a converter?
my sony player is DVP-S705D
