The Raspberry Pi Foundation is now offering customers the option to order customized hardware. The only catch? You’ll need to place a pretty large order: LinuxGizmos reports minimum orders will start at around 3,000 to 5,000 units, depending on the type of customization you need.
In other words, the new custom Raspberry Pi option isn’t really aimed at hobbyists. But it could allow small businesses to use a Raspberry Pi as the basis for consumer electronics, industrial, or Internet of Things hardware by modifying the layout of the board, change the interfaces, headers, and connectors, or add features to the printed circuit board.
Raspberry Pi will work with manufacturing partner Element14 to build and distribute the new custom Raspberry Pi computers.

Since Chord will only offer accessories for Mojo without a screen, it's still an opportunity for manufacturing a pure digital transport with massive (e.g. 1TB mSATA SSD) storage. Right now we're only paying just under 350 bucks for each Samsung MZ-M5E1T0BW

So far the cheapest 512GB SDXC cards still cost over $250

256GB would cost roughly $90

Honestly it's still a pain to work with multiple SDXC cards, therefore a single piece of 1TB mSATA should fit the bill with much better speed. SoC with mSATA support could be found already as shown below

What are we waiting for? Mojo is flying off the shelves right now and it's about time to get your share of the Pi (pun intended) before it's too late.
