Does this top part of the speaker deflect the sound? It looks like the angle may not be over the speaker and is decorative.

Some of you may know the ALPS Black Beauty pot, it has one.

My Dynahi has a black beauty, I haven't heard anyone mention one in quite a while, which is understandable, as they were were discontinued ~20+ years ago.

I'm happy for you (and everyone attending) to bring what they want, what they enjoy and want to share. Personally, I enjoy listening and understanding what folks love about different equipment. I consider myself near the end of my journey of searching for equipment. Though I kind of felt that way when my Office system was my main system and have since bought a whole new system.

That piece helps deflect the sound a bit, it is centered over the top speaker. DecWare made the first ones and that is one of their parts. They sell parts and plans so I was not stealing their idea. I changed the design a bit and took in Decwares on trade for mine.

I own some single gang black beauty’s that I bought in bulk. I prefer individual adjustment on designs for myself.

I am nearly at the end of my audio journey, I bought a cargo van full of gear a year ago and got my endgame speakers, power amp, transports etc.
I also got a huge classical CD collection as well since that genre was lacking in my 65,000 album collection.
My audio work pays for my gear so I have zero dollars invested.
I could assemble five complete systems with some of the classic gear I have on shelves.

Through this site I got to know the blender for Oregon Spirits, their bottled in bond Bourbon is quite good with a peppery aftertaste, I can locate it for $70 a bottle instead of the usual $140. They also make a bourbon for less money that is 4 years old and 95 proof that is quite close to the bonded.

I've never tried Oregon Spirits. As for Rye's Angel's Envy is probably my favorite, Though many others are quite enjoyable, Ry3, Michter's, Hudson, high west.... My house rye is Bulleit

I use Bulleit for mixing, as does my son. He had to add more cabinets for stock overflow, his bar top is live edge cherry when you can see it.

I've always liked the look of live edge. I've thought of changing this counter to butcher block, though it is hard to convince myself to rip out a perfectly good counter. Attached is my current "bar"

My son was in Sweden when his downstairs flooded, he redid the bar, floors, and even stairs in tile. His bar now has a special freezer so he can make perfectly clear ice cubes.

Awesome haven’t heard a Alclair since RMAF 2018 the Electro 6 was one I really liked looking forward to hear some of your new ones.
