Hi peeps,

I'm in the process of looking for some new opamps to make my Titanium HD a little more transparent (together with putting in a better oscillator). However, it has two JRC2114's and two LME49710's. Now I can remember reading somewhere that one of these opamps are not being used when using the RCA out, which is the only output I have ever used in the 5 years in which I've had the card.

Anyway, I can not for the life of me remember or find where I read that, so I hope somebody more knowledgeable can help me out on this.

Kind regards,

When the Ti-HD (Titanium-HD) is set to Headphone output, the two (I/V) JRC2114 (each dual channel) are used.
When the Ti-HD is set to Speaker (line-output, RCA), Both the JRC2114 and two (Buffer) LME49710 (each single channel) are used.
Using single channel op-amps keep the signal cleaner.

Thank you, that's what I needed. Would you have any further suggestions on OPAMP choices?

I use the AD797BR op-amps in my Essence STX, the LME49990 are popular (for the Essence STX).
You might replace the JRC2114 with the LME49710.

That's funny, I was also gearing towards the LME49990 with all their good reviews! They seem to be praised for their neutral response. Why do you recommend the 49710 over them though?

Not really trying to recomend one op-amp over the other, just throwing out options (not really an expert on op-amps).
There is also the budget to consider, you could spend $15 or $60 or $200 (or even more) for op-amps, for the Ti-HD
