I think its more appopriate to post tinnitus related topic in the general forum rather than in the headphone forum.
I can hear ringing in my ear a couple of seconds in a whole week. the sound is harsh and resembles the harsh sound of a improperly tuned radio. treble sometimes could be harsh too, easily fatiguing my ears. so it makes me wonder if a person could not hear treble very well because of tinnitus..

here is a letter from a musician who has tinnitus and hearing loss at the upper end...
if this is true. no wonder some head-fiers who have wild tinnitus demand headphones with strong highs...
and, I also wonder whether a certain range of sound (bass, mids, treble) harm the hearing or not.
