Just picked up a sampler of the Timeless Savoy Jazz remasters for $2.99 at Sam Goodys. It looks like Savoy is putting out a series of 20 bit remasters of some of their recordings by Charlie Parker, Dizzy Gillespie, Marian McPartland, Cannonball Adderley, Erroll Garner, Coleman Hawkins, George Shearing, John Coltrane, and Miles Davis. The sampler has one song from each.
The recordings vary in quality, but probably sound as good as they've ever sounded on CD.
Even if you're not into jazz, what can you lose for $2.99?
