Time to upgrade my px100

I didn't test the px100, nor pfe. But I assume pfe is better, because people compare them to top iems like ie8 & se530 etc...

I have the PX100 and have owned the PFE. I prefer the PFE. The amount of detail and sparkle made my PX100 sound quite dark and not so detailed. Keep in mind that I prefer a brighter sound signature. I consider the PFE an upgrade.

The PFE sound a lot better. They are brighter but you can use the black filters to dampen that a little and then you might prefer the grey filter later like I have seen with a lot of people, including myself. And as you probably read, the E5 makes them sound pretty good. They sound good straight out of some sources too, it just depends on how much juice they have I think. Oh and the PFE made from different materials are supposedly going to be available sometime this month which might help with defects. They have been really good about replacing them so far, just order straight from them to be sure and maybe ask if the new materials are ready yet.

better is by your own definition. What do you want "better" besides isolation? I could pour mud in your ears and give you better isolation...

JVC Marshmallows (FX-33 I think) are enjoyed by my co-worker who also likes my PX-100, but I've never stuck his crud in my ears to check.
