I've seemed to be content with my IEMs now I want to move over to some full-sized cans. I'm a bass head, but not too much. I like to hear clarity and detail in my music. I listen to all sorts of music but mostly Rock/ Hip-Hop. My budget this time is from $100 - $150.

Also, I want something a bit portable. I don't mind cans the size of the ATH-ES7 but try not to get too big like the Sony "Extra Bass" XB700s. It has to be portable, yet comfortable for when listening to long periods of time.

I've seen some good reviews about Denon's D1001, but I've seen more interest in the Audio Technica ATH-ES7. JR has them at an attractive price of $89.99.

What's everyone's take? I'm not very sure about what's good in the full-sized market so let the suggestions pour in!

I'd prefer closed. JVC RX700? How much of an improvement is the RX900 over the RX700?

I'm open to more suggestions.
