Thanks! Yeah, I was actually just about to post here saying basically “never mind! I figured it out!” There are just not that many samples in a 15khz sinewave sampled at 44.1khz!

And yes my Ares II does indeed do linear interpolation in NOS mode, if memory serves. (And thus not true hold to value, then step to next)

Also for the record, now that I think about it, I never did look at a high frequency sine or square wave on the scope with my Ares II.

I haven't extensively, but have got measurements and/or reviews of a few products up using it.

It's clear from the filter response it's using a fairly unique windowing function which gives it its unique sound. Personally it's one I really enjoy for some genres but less so for others. Completely subjective though.
