The band isn't back together, but they are playing two shows at the Casbah here in San Diego. I missed out on the first show, but was able to get tickets to the second one just now! So excited.

They have been apart doing projects like Black Heart Procession and Pinback for like seven years.

So cool!

Don't get enough chances to tout my love for The Chief Assassin to the Sinister anymore, but amazing band and one of my favorite records of the 90s, still listen to it constantly. Great recording too, really powerful sounding. You probably know, but they also got together to play at the Touch and Go 25th anniversary party last year.
