Yellow Magic Orchestra - YMO
I love Simoon, I feel like it should be in the soundtrack to BRAZIL

Auntie Aubreys Excursions Beyond the Call Of Duty pt 2 - The Orb v/a
Check out the Orb's remix of Robbie Williams I Started A Joke

Arkology Disc 1 - Lee Perry v/a
The dub versions of some of these songs are awesome. I love Max Romeo's
"Chase The Devil" I was at an Orb show and between sets this song was playing and everyone started singing along. It was almost magical.

I havent had a chance to check out too many other DJ Spooky albums other than Riddim Warfare... which is _quite_ good.

What have you heard about Optometry? Do you know if it would be worth getting since I already own Dubtometry?

I imagine that, because they released a whole new album for the remix, the original must be significantly different.

I havent heard it myself, but I would think that is is quite a bit different. Actually, when I bought Dubtometry I thought I was buying Optometry. I have the Optometry case, but they gave me the Dubtometry disc. I liked it so much that I didnt bother going back to the store and letting them in on their mistake.

I think i am going to go old school classic rock:

Bob Seger- Live Bullet
Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young- Deja Vu
Led Zeppelin- Physical Graffiti

Not my favorite from Zep, I just think it is something that should be heard by all

My three (strictly considering headphone-audio nirvana):

Ozric Tentacles: Arborescence
Steve Morse: High Tension Wires
Shpongle: Tales of the Inexpressible

Honorable mentions:
Eva Cassidy: Live at Blues Alley
J.S Bach: Brandenburg Concertos
Rush: Moving Pictures

Georg Solti's recording of Der Ring des Nibelungen
The best overall interpretation and recording of the ultimate work of music, but I still prefer Janowski for a whole host of reasons.

Pink Floyd The Final Cut
For me, Floyd's Waters-era work leads up to this. DSOTM, WYWH, Animals, and The Wall all prefigure this work. Solid music, deeply personal songwriting, and the sense of the end of an era on many levels.

Warren Zevon Learning to Flinch
This is a charged live disc with a good smattering from throughout his career. His work, for me, was always about the dark side of "Hollywood" (with all that represents for the world) and astute criticism of the late 20th century. Like him or not, I think everyone needs to hear this performance of "The Indifference of Heaven."

A Perfect Circle - Mer De Noms
NIN - The Fragile (Sounds absolutely awsome on headphones)
Metallica - S&M

Linkin Park- Hybrid Theory & Meteora
Blue Man Group- The Complex
Tiesto- Just Be
DJ Tiesto- Magik 7: Live from L.A.
The Chemical Bros- Push the Button
Prodigy- Fat of the Land
March of the Pengiuns Soundtrack
Stravinsky- Rite of Spring/Firebird Suite

Sorry I couldnt name just three.
