Kele - The Boxer.  The lead singer from Bloc Party gone solo, it's been getting plenty of airplay here in the UK.  But if you've missed it or not heard of it, have a listen, some pretty upbeat electronica.  :)

Nils Petter Molvær - Khmer

Very eclectic album that I really enjoy, and most people seem to have never heard of. Here is a description that I found fairly accurate.

"Nils Petter Molvær is a Norwegian trumpet player, composer and producer, who connects multiple music styles - jazz, ambient, house, electronic and break beats, as well as elements from hip hop, rock and pop music - and melts them into convincing soundscapes of deep intensity."

I have read the terms "Nu-Jazz" and "Fusion" associated with this album, which I don't know if I agree with.... but I guess everything needs some type of classification. Anyways, check it out and you might enjoy it.

Longpigs - The Sun is Often out

The comments for this video are all spot on, more people should have been aware of this band.

This should go down as an absolute classic, back when Britpop was in it's prime.  These kinda songs just make you want to sing along as loud as possible!

Astronautalis - The Mighty Ocean & Nine Dark Theaters http://listen.grooveshark.com/#/album/The+Mighty+Ocean+and+Nine+Dark+Theaters/140407
The most amazing rap/whatever album I have ever heard.  His newer album Pomegranate is also very solid.  Something about this album just really gets to me though.

This is from Pomegranate.  Probably more immediately interesting than the music from The Mighty Ocean & Nine Dark Theaters.

Slackstring & Barefoot Truth
Two nice, laid-back acoustic rock groups.  Nothing that I listen to very seriously or whatever, but it's enjoyable.

Just got Vaudeville Villain by MF doom (well, the official artist is Viktor Vaughn), i´m not sure wether it´s really `hidden´ but it sure is a gem. Maybe it´s even better then Madvillainy.

There are some absolute corkers being posted, can't really fault anyone, great taste people.

Another one to keep you going..

Nizlopi - Girls

From their debut album, "Half these songs are about you".  You may remember them from "JCB song", if not, you're in for a musical treat.

While not quite up to Whitney Houston standards, the girl had no formal training and was 15 or 16 years old in this video. This is probably the best cover of a Houston song I've ever heard.

The Maldives - Listen to the Thunder
Country band from Seattle.  I dig it.  This song reminds me quite a bit of My Morning Jacket.

Also
Tor - Illinoize
Remix album of rap and Sufjan Stevens.
The album is available for free but his website has been shut down between yesterday and now.  Hopefully it will be back up.  http://www.tormusic.net/

If it wasn't for the singer the maldives wouldn't sound like country... kinda has a hybrid sound! (btw Im not ready to admit I listen to any country)

The above samples are the first songs from their albums... just a good example of everything else you can expect from them!

Haha fair enough.  By the way, have you listened to Ramona Falls?  I'm not really familiar with Menomena but I believe Ramona Falls is the solo project of one of their members... ?  I think it's pretty good.  The rest of the album is a bit less... I guess "bombastic" might be the term, but it's all solid.  The music video is awesome.

Holy cow! That is a sweet video!  Im gonna have to look into Ramona falls... heres another for you guys  The Heavy! The first two is them doing their thing and the last one is a beautiful attempt at slow....  BTW I love the part in the second song where the music stops just for a split second (around 1:00)
