Hiya, new member here! Just curious on everyone's thoughts on this pair of cans before buying them, particularly on the reliability side of things.

I've previously owned the Shure SRH940 and been burned on the reliability of the headband (broke after ~2-3 months of usage) and the AKG K845 BT (Bluetooth broke after a year), so I want to avoid repeating that mistake. Are there any issues with long term usage I should be aware of before buying the KNS 8400s?

In terms of usage, I'd predominantly be using these with a cheapo UMC204HD (which I plan on upgrading soon) and Sonarworks to flatten out the response curve. Mostly, I'll be using this setup for reference, music production, and mixing. I'd eventually like to get a set of monitors, but the cost to treat the room as well as the difficulty in monitor and desk placement makes this currently unfeasible.

The KNS 8400s caught my eye as they're within budget in my country (<MYR1000, ~250$), have a Sonarworks profile, seem good for my use case, and have a detachable cable. But I'm open to other recommendations.

My previous gear and thoughts on them:
- Shure SRH940 : Loved the stock sound signature, soundstage and clarity, but headband broke.
- AKG K845 BT : My default casual listening closed backs at the minute, as they sound great, have some of the soundstage of the SRH940, and have been surprisingly revealing.
- Beyerdynamic DT 990 PRO 250Ω : I like these, but due to increased external noise leakage during the day they're no longer feasible for more critical listening. These are my daily workhorse and what currently I predominantly use to make music and reference. Exclusively used with Sonarworks.
- Sennheiser HD 280 Pro : I owned these for about 5+ years and they've been ok, but I haven't used them in the last ~2 years.
