Thoughts on new 2.0 setup

Sold my audio engine A2. After a full year of wanting to fall in love with them, i simply can't. The boomy bass just pisses me off, and I'm sick of having to fire up sound flower and aulab to reroute the audio through a good eq. anyways. I'm looking at the following 
 
Creative t40 series ii (i like the size and the headphone jack)
lepai amp plus micca mb42x
swans 1080iv
 
I've tried and didn't like the maudio av40, swans m10 (meh these were ok) not into 2.1 setups
 
I've tried and loved the swans m200 but cannot afford them at this time.
 
Any thoughts? I'm particularly interested in anyones experience with the creative t40, are they as good as they seem to be represented online?

I ponied up and got the swans m200 mkiii from audio insider.
 
pretty pumped.
 
i drove down to frys and had a listen to the t40. not bad, just not in the same league as the m200, decided to just spring for them
