Hi everyone! It's a been a long while...
I'm about to jump into custom IEMs, and wanted to hear some thoughts from y'all. Already have the ear impression made by an audiologist.
I've been using Shure SE530 for something like 8 yrs. I'm considering Ultimate Ears 5 Pro (and possibly 4 Pro).
What should I expect, in terms of sound difference? Also, anyone with experience in comparing 4 Pro and 5 Pro?
I noticed that 5 Pro uses 2 drivers whereas SE530 has 3 drivers. Would that be downgrading? Or are the SE530 drivers not even in the same ball park as the current gen?
If it makes any difference, I'm a concert violist. So I listen to recordings quite a bit, and I prefer being able to separate different instrument sections. Aside from obvious inclination toward classical and soundtracks, I listen to just about anything and everything.
Thank you!
