I'm not saying that because i use one (or a fan of one) as i use better earbuds (or, IEM.)
But the specs are pretty decent. 5hz to 21 khz. the bass is better than some $100 headphones like the sennheiser hd 280 pro that i own.
They also use neodymium magnets.
BUT MY QUESTION IS
how come the audio quality still sucked butt?
Not a big fan of headphones test tracks. so i used some of my favourite songs. I'm not a huge audiophile. i am a music lover. don't categorize me with them.
Songs i used:
Avenged sevenfold's new release: hail to the king
Green day's most popular song : boulevard of broken dreams
i compared the earpods with these headphones.
my sennheiser hd 280 pro
my kitsound ace earbuds
the earbuds blackberry bundled when i bought the blackberry passport (amazing phone, by the way)
the apple earbuds are less punchy compared to the pair of headphones. the blackberry earbuds sounded the WORST. so lets get that out of the way.
the earpods can't even reproduce Bill amstrong's vocal fry in the green day song.
what are your thoughts on this?
