Any of you guys, that have HD280s, had problems with the internal wire, going to the right earcup severing at the earcup pivot joint? I just took the joint apart on mine and the wire was completely flat, almost ready to break. Since my brothers friend broke them 2 months ago, I haven't used them since, they've been sitting on a desk doing nothing.

I've had them for about a month, and no problems so far. They do come with a 2-year warranty, so maybe you could just send them back?

Sennheiser doesn't cover the kinda dammage that my 280s have suffered.

Oh great, another thing I have to worry about with my new 280's. Heh, I hope they'll be fine in my backpack at school. Though, I hardly ever take my 497's off my head. Hopefully this won't be a problem with the 280's...

My 497's cord actually got chewed by some type of critter and I had to tape up the spots and then I sort of cut into it with my pocket knife while I was cutting up the thread I was gonna use to tie up the rediculously long cord with. They still sound just as good as before, so if the 280's can survive that, I'll be fine.
