Anyone know what might be causing such a problem? I know it isn't the receiver because if I flip the rca jacks the problem flips channels. Seems odd a turntable would be susceptible to such a problem! If I turn the balance almost all the way to the other channel it sounds right.

Any suggestions appreciated!

Also, if I touch the L(white) wire going into the cartrige there is a light buzz in the left ear, if I touch the R(red) wire going into the cartridge there is a LOUD buzz in the right ear.

grounding problem perhaps as well?

I had the same problem with my Thorens. The shop ended up replacing the offending output cable and it fixed the problem
