5 IE8s for 35 dollars...  That comes out to 7 bucks per multi-hundred dollar IEM...  I'd email Sennheiser CS about the fakes.  And yes, they are fake.

I remember reading somewhere that fakes of these are quite common.  I believe there is a thread where someone described how to tell the fakes from the genuine article.  It described how the fake logo differs from the genuine one.

They are quite common, and yes there is a thread about it...  Somewhere :p  Price on this one is a red flag entirely, pack of 5 for 35?  7 bucks a piece?  That's like 98% off retail...  Heck, even used ones go for 200 bucks :p

The pictures show real IE8s for anyone who was wondering. The price is not of an authentic product and you'll get what you pay.
