This has to be fake, or not?

There was a thread in the portable forum, where some guy bought a fake ESW9.
At least, I think it was fake.

Some notable differences from the real thing from what I've seen was that the wood grain wasn't nearly as nice as the ESW9 I had.
And the inner pad diameter was much smaller than the normal pads.

I would stay clear from these, most likely they are fakes.

They are not 10 for 660. I think that they are 660 each. At the bottom of the page it has a table that says qty=1-3, the price is $600. Then it says that 4-6 and 7-10 have different prices that you have to sign in to see.

It says "quantity = X Lot", where 1 lot = 10 pieces.

Fair enough. If it is selling for $66 each, then they are fake. Also, Audiotechnica is Japanese and the site says they have chinese suppliers.

I concur. I've seen a Dateline NBC story about Chines counterfeiters and this smacks of "rotten deal".

The guy has positive feedback and all but I still smell a rat.

I actually considered purchasing a lot and doubling my money on eBay, but like the old saying goes: "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is".
