I am thinking of adding to my collection... again.

I have a Grado SR-325 with a RA-1 amp, as well as a pair of etymotic ER-4's

Currently, I am thinking about either a beyerdynamic DT 880 or a Senn HD600, both second hand under $200
A desire of mine is that this phone will not have too much overlap with the Grados in terms of sound, as well as the phones be circumaural

What do you think about either the HD600 or DT880, or would you recommend a different one?

Well, I would say the 600s are a greater departure from the Grados than the 880s, but (for my taste) the 880s do rock better.

You own the ER4s... if you want the Ety4 sound in a full-sized headphone, get the Beyers, although personall I find the Beyers are only good with certain sub-genres of rock music (as they do not have the energy for, say, heavy metal).

The gilmore lite has been compared to the gilmore v1, which is supposed to have excellent synergy with the DT880s. I'm sure it would power both just fine.
