It's only a problem when I'm walking around, but as they are supposed to be portable earphones that shouldn't be an issue. It's only a very small amount of noise but, as you know, when you have something in your ear canal it really magnifies the sound.

I wonder if it's just me ... I've never heard anyone else mention it, but as it's happened to me with two different pairs of Denon earphones I thought it might be an inherent problem with the design/build.

Where are you guys finding the Denon C500's for $50.00? I'm having difficulty finding them "at all" for twice the price. since I really like my CX300's I thought I would give these a go if the cord is indeed firmer.

@digivate: It does sound like a build issue, but you're right: I've never heard any similar complaints. The usual complaints are those by clearing ear-crud from the mesh. Hmm...

cx300 have good bass and soft treble. Other high end IEMs claim overall SQ which means more treble than cx300
