Im thinking about buying the ultrasone 650 trackmaster or dvd for use with my Zen Xtra. However, I am concerned about the size of them. I have the HD280 pros, but are a bit too big to carry around, so Im going to use them for my home rig. I also have the V6s, which are almost perfect in size, but I cant take the brightness of them. How do the 650's compare in size and sound with the V6s and 280s?

Also is the dvd or trackmaster edition better for listening to music? (mostly rock, some rap)

Size: Folds up to about the same size as the HD280s

Sound (based on owning the V6 & HFI-550 and HD280 (previously) and reading impressions of others on this board): Larger soundstage and a bit more detail than either the V6 or HD280. Sound is probably closest to the V6 sans the boomy bass and harsh high-end.

Size: definitely more compact than the 280, either on your head or folded up, but not as compact as the v6.

Sound: quite bright, but not harsh. I can listen to them happily for extended periods while I get tired of the v6 very quickly. Sound is more vivid and airy than either the 280 or the v6, but to me sounds a bit less neutral than the 280.
