I'm about 90% certain I'm going to rewire my AKG k701s. I have the wire picked out (silver/gold mix) but I need some recommendations on a 1/4" connector and solder. Also, is anyone aware of any snafus with drilling the 2nd ear-cup for dual entry?

Sounds like you're using some expensive wire. You might want to go with an expensive Cardas 1/4" to match.

Yep, I need to see if I can get my hands on the wire, but I should be able to. I didn't know Cardas built a 1/4" connector, that sounds like a good idea. Any ideas on solder?
