As stated above, I am looking to get a new IEM soon. It should be strong in the vocal department and bass should be good, but not a big deal for me as much since the songs I listen to primarily have focus on female vocals.

I was looking into the Sennheiser Momentum In Ears. While I have heard good things about HiFiMan RE400, the appeal and build quality just doesn't attract me, especially as it doesn't come with Comply tips anymore. I looked into the TTPOD T2, but it seems like a disappointment to the all hype it had gotten.

And again, it must be under $100, thanks in advance.

Narmoo S1 and order some Comply T-400 tips. $50-ish all in. Burned in for around 30 hours with pink noise. I bought them to hold me over until Santa brought me the Shure SE215's I asked for. The S1's are better hands down. They make the Shures sound bloomy and colored. I listened to them for about 4 hours today and actually made a mental note of how good they sound on female vocals in particular. The only problem I have with them is my ears are kind of small so they aren't a great fit for me. I prefer the Shures in every other aspect other than sound, but it's the one that trumps. If you do pick them up don't skip the burn in, annoying sibilance until they are broken in.

It's not like I don't trust you, but I find it very hard to believe that the S1 could beat something more than 3 times as costly from a reputable brand such as Shure. Any other owners of the Narmoo S1 could second this? And how do the Narmoo S1 compare against the VDS3?

They both seem to have a warm tilt (siginificantly bigger on the s1) with rolled of treble.

Necro-threading... I just ordered another Narmoo S1 after mine took a trip through the laundry. If you hurry there's one set left on Amazon

btw, now that I have a zillion hours on my Shures I do love them in a way I never thought I would and am considering starting a harassment campaign to persuade Shure to make a dual-dynamic IEM.

I haven't heard the Narmoo S1, but hope to do so eventually. The under $100 category is in my wheelhouse. I only have a few IEM's which were more than that, but 20+ sets at least which cost between $35 and $80, including the Momentum's and the RE400's, both of which I like a lot, but have quite different sound profiles.

Currently there are some IEM's priced under $100 which initially were considered bargains at $150-$200. My  favorite in that category is the Focal Sphear (down to $80 from original msrp of $180). I also like the 1More Triple Driver (a bit underpriced at the original msrp of $100, in my opinion, and now can be found for $80 some places, with Costco running a deal on them this month for $60).

If you might be interested in either of them, here are some links to reviews and vendors:

These recommendations have a mic/in line remote, but there are several great IEM's in your price range to recommend, if that doesn't matter to you. Hope this helps.
