I've been aching for an external DAC (purely out of curiosity) lately and I'm pretty sure I'll be purchasing a headroom micro dac. I just wanted hear opinions of what it'll be like with the following setup.
eum0404 -> micro DAC -> gilmore lite -> HF1 MS1 etc.
I'm still diggin' the eum0404 but I'd like to get an external DAC so I can use it at work. The Micro DAC will be using the USB interface while at work but at home it'll be connected to the eum through opt or coax. Actually, is there any major difference between coax and optical?

Hello Brian, i think i'm in the same boat as you. I have the Glite that i'm using with my home PC and the SB audigy 2 ZS and the Beyers 250-250's. I also want to get the Micro DAC to bypass my sound card. Have you recieved any replies from any other sites about this combo?

haven't tried other sites. Not really worried though. I haven't seen anything bad about the micro DAC so I'm very excited about getting one but I need to wait a little longer for funds.
