Had both ie900 and mk3. With all respect to sennheiser, but IE900 are not even close to mk3 in my opinion. Never heard anything like mk3 under 1k$. Music just sounds more natural, with bigger body, slam, attack, soudstage.

OK, I just don't hear it the same way, we all hear differently, different musical tastes, listening volume etc so that's probably why.

For anyone with the ie900 I strongly suggest listening to the MMKIII before parting with any cash.

Anyone owns the mest mk 2 and have opinions on how it compares to the monarch mk3s? I’m fearful of the mk3s shell as the mk2s felt a little too big when demoing them in the past

I'm using Gladiator Cables' "Aes Harmony" model with my MMK3. Good upgrade over stock cables.

Getting an Effect Audio Eros S to see how it does paired with MMK3.

Sony ZX707 DAP with MMK3 is awesome. Cayin RU6 is pretty good too, but ZX707 is a lot better.

You can get a HiBy R6 Pro II $569.43 before taxes using code AEUS100 right now. You might need to find a different code that works in your region or country. It's arguably the current best mid-tier DAP and has 4.4mm balanced.

You really don't need balanced for IEM's like this, there I said it.

To "beat" the Mojo2 you will probably need to spend at least 1000$ worth of your currencies, something like the SONY NW-WM1Z M2 would be a good choice, but honestly comparing the two (I do own the Sony too but its the rubbish EU version) I prefer the sound and usability of the Mojo2/Poly.

I mostly listen to Tidal Hi Fi plus and without using a roon you can’t really enjoy hi-res, MQA files. As far as I know when I use airplay 2 for streaming from my iphone to mojo2/poly, streaming quality is limited to 16bit/44.1 kHz. And if I want to listen to Tidal hi res - i need to unplug poly and plug my micro usb (yes micro USB in 2023 ) cable with the VGA camera adapter to my iphone directly. This is really annoying sometimes.
Hope they will fix that with the mojo 3

I am not sure if I want to sell them we are always searching for more…. The’re actually the best IEM’ s i’ve heard so far. I will try to find a good DAP match for them
