There was some talk of a new TI chip a while back. What was it?

A while back (within a couple of months), there was quite a hubub over a new TI chip (can't remember if it was an OP amp or a dedicated audio amp). It had quite impressive numbers, but was surface mount. People were using pennies for heat sinks if I remember correctly.

Anyone know what I'm talking about? Haven't heard anything on here since.

Yes, I believe Kevin Gilmore built the first one on this forum using the TI chip.
His opinion is that it is a very good portable headphone amp. One of the main reasons it works so well is the +&- 12-15vdc power rails. It is bi polar & it was specifically designed as a headphone amp.

Just received 2 pieces last week. I will post my results.
