I’ll get the ball rolling…

Beyerdynamic DT 150.

Fitted with DT 100 velour pads, they measure almost ruler flat, and exhibit a wonderful sense of dynamism and realism and an organic tonality. Think a more neutral, closed-back HD 650 with better presence and extension at both ends of the spectrum.

They also stage relatively wide for a closed-back with a great sense of scale.

And there’s their bass: linear, well-extended, taut, quick, with impeccable impact.

In short, they're incredibly versatile.

Finally, they’re built like a goddamn tank. You could probably hurl these across the room and they’d remain intact.

Oh, they isolate pretty damn well too.

Let’s hear it from the rest of you!

Definitely my LSA HP-2's. Clarity, bass, mids, light weight, comfortable, easy to drive, good isolation. My best all-rounder.

Verite Closed for me as well, and it took me about half a second to decide.

Playing devil's advocate, would this be a necessary feature on a desert island?

Well the desert island bit is really meant to read: if you could only keep one headphone, which would it be? Doesn't quite have the same to ring it though :p

Probably an open-back headphone so I can hear whatever is approaching and run if I need to. :)

Assuming you crash with your DAP and a solar charger, it would be a must have.:gs1000smile:

HD660S and a cellphone... :)
Throw the iFi Gryphon in for good measure and you are describing my exact situation right now as I'm traveling for work this week and next.
