If I had received some of the advice that is posted in this thread when I first started, I would not hold such a jaded view of some of the members here. Great post taylor, that is a very insightful post, and a good synopsis of the help generally given here. Never thought of it that way, but it certainly is the way most experienced members do think.

Quite so, Busta9iron. Tintin and taylor are masters of head-fi advice. I was fortunate that mrarroyo had the phone I was curious about, top. I hope to be able to give advice like that, someday. Maybe when I become a cop, I can advise people on how not to be idiots.

Welcome to head-fi. There are a lot of people who are willing to be very helpful. Taylor's given some really good advice here, and like mbriant said, sometimes getting the help you want is in the questions you ask.
