Saw these guys on Austin City Limits and then bought the CD.
Has anyone heard it and have a view about it ?
I have only played it in the car a few times but (apart from sounding compressed) it's rocking.

Homme's influence on the overall sound of the album is just too big. Many of the tracks can pass up as QOTSA songs. But then again, I really like QOTSA and I really enjoy this album and listen to it very regulary. I just wish it was better recorded.

Probably the worst supergroup I have ever heard.

Old, rehashed riffs, combined with a load of "here listen we have a bass player in the band that's a superstar and he's high in the mix". To that, add some linear (same ol' same ol') QOTSA vocals and that's the deal with this band.

Just horrible.

I heard them last week over a friends house. It was ok...but all the songs sounded the same after a while.

so what is the supergroup roster here?
