Does anyone have a Yamaha soundcard in their set-up ? and if you do, do you find the output is more dynamic, transparent and higher than other soundcards ? I nevr had a chance to compare it with another soundcard since I am so impressed with SQ of this card and never upgraded for 7+ years whereas this is the 3rd upgrade of my PC set-up.

I have a 7 year old genuine Waveforce 192XG and alot of people who had it was sorry they ever upgraded to newer cards only to downgrade back to the Yamaha. Too bad Yamaha is not supporting this card anymore, there used to be alot of fan forums concerning the Waveforce.

i used to use this sound card and it gave me a lot of problems. sound quality is pretty average to my ears, and the newer cards have more detail.
