+1 for Indiegogo (selfishly thinking of the early backer bonuses)

Joking aside this could be a way of identifying the demand for such a product as well as bringing the likelihood of such a product to market

That looks like the most sensible control layout you've ever implemented on any of your products, James.

Power button cannot be accidentally mistaken with the other buttons.

Volume Up/Down buttons can be pressed without accidentally pressing Track Up/Down buttons on the other side of the transport (that was a huge mistake on the X7)

The only thing I would improve with those buttons is to make the Volume Up/Down buttons a different shape from the Track Up/Down buttons, so that it is easier to feel which button is which.

Other than that, I really like the simple, clean, logical design.

Bravo!

I dunno, I feel like it already looks pretty easy to feel the difference, in that one is up high and the other is down low and there's a smaller button separating them. If anything, just adding a type of texture to one button or the other would differentiate them well. Personally, I didn't have a problem with the X5's implementation of long pressing the volume buttons with the screen off to skip to the next song, but yeah separate buttons like this are a bit more dynamic.

I must clearly be in the minority by stating I prefer the concept on the first page with all the angles. To me, a transport should be tough, hence the term "Transport". This will be something that is used primarily out and about. Where people can easily accidentally drop things.

If FiiO provides a silicon case, it may mitigate some of the issues with dropping the transport.

so far there are some very useful suggestion includes

1, two usb port , one for digital out and one for power. maybe we should design a power switcher so people can choose the supply is build in battery or USB power.

2, different shape for volume and track control buttons.

any idea about the way to bundle it with amp ?
