I was at work thinking of a question that popped into my head...

If you could somehow combine aspects of certain head phones (highs/mids/bass/soundstage) to make the ultimate pair of headphones, which would you pick?

In my experience (albeit limited), I'd probably take everything from a Senn HD 650 except the soundstage, which I'd want from an AKG 701.

I haven't heard enough phones to make a comment, but am intrigued to see what some of the more 'headphone-versed' users say.

Both of what i have - sorry - the HD800s detail and soundstage/airiness with the DX1000s Bass and maybe mix in some of its soundstage elements into the goulash.

All this is useless without the moon on a stick.

That would be really close to my frankenstein headphone as well.
