I've saved the logo image, but as that was a seasonal logo, and it'll go at some point whether or not I like it, is there any script I can run to keep it, or others I may like, in the top left corner in place of the regular one?

You 'might' be able to do so by tweaking your hosts file.
I thought that was to force the pc to load sites via particular IP addresses...

the only way may be to override stylesheets use your own and div hover that image over existing one

If you use Firefox or Opera you can make the use of Greasemonkey to alter the image.

Sounds like a lot of effort for little gain.
It just makes blue and grey a little more exciting. I'll find out about Greasemonkey.
