Btw, I am SUPER interested in hearing the Holo Audio May Level 3, since it apparently sounds better than the Chord Dave and not too far off the dCs vivaldi. Anyone know any shop which has that? Mayve k55 picks it up if enough are interested haha

My issue with Holo Audio is "political", they keep releasing new DACs every two years or so (Spring DAC is on gen3 now), and each model has 3 versions, always playing into your FOMO - I don't like those business practices and will vote with my money. Chord and dCS respect their buyers and keep the lineup sensible, supporting it for 5-10 years. Yes, they tend to cost way more money, so perhaps that's the price to pay with Holo Audio, upgrading every 2 years?

I absolutely agree with you! i‘d probably love sony in this regard, wm1z has been out for how many years? if i wouldn‘t stream occasionally i‘d buy it in a heartbeat… maybe the next version…

I am talking about the HE90 (old orpheus) not HE-1, which costs 54k new. I found it on hifishark, two weeks ago but when I just checked it was gone.
