When I read reviews about Hi-Res DAPs, I am attracted to the price-point, described sound quality, and sound signature of units like the Fiio X3ii & X5ii, the IBasso DX80, the Cayin N5.
However, I am rather accustomed to the convenience of browsing my music library using metadata, such as sorting first by Genre, within that by Album Artist, and within that by Album. And if I search, am using a keyboard or touchscreen of JRiver MC on my PC, or JRemote or Spotify on my Android device, or speed-browsing options and metadata support on my old Sony MP3s.
So, reading about the browsing limitations on the mobile DAPS mentioned above seems like the dark ages... not to mention the scroll-wheel based search functions. Am I missing something? Are there other DAPS with similar SQ and sound profiles with good and efficient metadata browsing support?
