The Source AV now has 2 exclusive cables! The Blue Cobra ($299) and the Black Cobra ($499)!

Took some pics earlier today, really gorgeous cables!

We have our samples terminated to the Utopia and Clear/Elear to 4.4mm balanced and 6.35mm respectively but will have plenty of options to customize and choose from~

Hey Bud! How have you been? So no they are not related. I think I mentioned here on headfi a few times I was out to find a kick ass cable that serviced the lower cost need. I was out to find a wire capable of performing like more expensive products at a lower cost. This is a collaboration between TSAV & WyWires and Alex really helped us out in bringing it to market. What Alan posted is pre-production and still has a couple detail changes (mostly pretty changes) that need to be completed but those that have heard it agree it doesn’t roll anything off like a lot of low cost cables do in these price ranges.

Anyway! :) I think it’s a great cable and we’ll be showing it around and selling it within a couple weeks. I was hoping for CanJam NYC but I’m not sure the packaging will be finished in time.

I like WyWires and use that on my Utopias so it should be a good sounding cable.

I would be glad to compare it on my Utopia if you plan an audition tour. :)

Subscribed, looking forward to learning more, I’ll need a shorter cable for my Utopia.

We will be arranging tours so you can compare to other products or decide if it just works for your needs. Give @TSAVAlan a shout to get on the list.

Also gave him a shout!

This is awesome, does this mean you'll have more cable options for demo units in your store?

What are the major differences between the Blue and Black Cobra cables? One is made of copper wires and another silver wires? Which one is more suitable for Utopia phones? Thanks.

I'm wondering that as well
Cool! After you get a chance to listen feel free to post your opinion good or bad. Hopefully good :)

I certainly will! I have a little cable based thread I keep around, as I've got an ever growing collection of cables my self and I'm always excited to hear the different options out there. I'll likely start to populate said thread once I get a hold of these for impressions! I've been waiting now as I only have 3 manufacturers represented, and one of them is exclusive to my HD 800 with the other two exclusive to my 4pin mini XLR termianted headphones, so I'm certainly open to having a third/second after market manufacturer to compare my existing stuff to/with

My preference would be the Black Cobra would be more suitable to maintain the wonderfully linear personality of the Utopia. They are both copper. I haven’t yet found that right combination for a silver cable at a reasonably low cost.

I’m considering the opportunity to audition both for those are interested in possibly owning our cables. I’d be much happier if I know people own them because they love them. :)
