Even though there's currently no DAP category, I have to say, the Hisound Studio-V puts out a very nice soundstage.

Oh, I love the Audio Technica AD700's soundstage so much. It just makes live recordings sound so...real. Their soundstage almost competes with the my bookshelf speakers at times.
I haven't heard any other open headphones yet, which is a pity. I'm just hoping that AKGs, Beyerdynamics, etc will have that "real" sound.
Anyway, thanks for the list! It shall help me greatly when I shop for headphones in the future.

Here are a couple of cans that are the soundstage-head's worst enemy! Audio Technica M50 and Etymotic MC5/MC3. When listening to them, whatever you hear is pretty much always "inside of your head." But you guys probably already know about them.

My new (new to me) Trafomatic Experience Head One + HD600 = largest and most holographic sound stage I have ever heard.

@chicolom: the EX1000 seem to be listed as a Yamaha rather than Sony.

Thanks, I had it listed twice under each. Fixed.

Sony PFR-V1 is a great candidate for beeing one of the best since it has been designed mainly for that purpose

I forgot about those.  They're a bit of an anomaly, but I will add them to the list...
