I'm in the processes of buying a pair of Active Noise Canceling Headphones.
I have narrowed down to the PXC 450 and the Aurvana X-Fi.

The primary use will be at the office (and some traveling).

The Shens are my primary choice, but the Creatives costs al lot less (Sweden 2600 vs 1800 SEK)

What gives the most bang for the buck? (where bang = sound quality + Noise Canceling )

sound quality and noise canceling do not go well together.

But sometimes you need noise canceling and if that's the case you have to compromise on quality...

I'd say there is no point spending a fortune on noise-canceling ones as they will never be as good as headphones with no noise canceling at the same price.

So given the limitations of noise-canceling headphones Aurvanas seems like a good value. This review is worth reading.
