Is that a balanced 2.5mm connection on the headphone side? I wonder if Sony will make an official balanced cable for it and how aftermarket cables will fit or if it’s a proprietary connector.

Standard Sony Trrs wiring L+R+ R-L- any of the Sony balanced cables will fit or even a third party one that’s wired for say the MDR 1AM2 etc the hole to the cup even though it has a screw lock system will take a standard 3.5mm trrs or you can cut the stock cable as it’s a 4 core
