It seems most Ebay MZ-E10's are broken! Is that the one with a bespoke headphone connector? probably one of the thinnest Hi-MD players there was.
My MZ-RH1 is now non working. I look after my kit very well, but the build quality was rather poor compared to the MZ-NH1. The OLED display fades and fades and left hand one is no more now, laser pickup won't record and just recently the eject mechanism failed so now I can't open the unit to put a disc in. A big shame. Glad I managed to convert all my SP MD's to FLAC before it died.

seems it can't read md anymore, isopropyl alcohol cleaning don't seem to work on md players either

Yeah I had the same issue with some of my MD recorders. In the case of the MZ-RH1 the recording laser weakens to the point where it can't record anymore. No amount of lens cleaning will solve the issue. A new Laser assembly for the RH1 is £90 - £100.

This is cool. I will be posting some of my Walkman collections as well. Think this is a good way of us making a tribute to Sony 40th Anniv.

This has to be the craziest model I still have at home, ANK-L2 I have the red variant:
Basically they replaced the 2nd headphone jack on the TPS-L2 with a stereo mic input jack. The hotline button became the mic button, once activated you can hear yourself sing along with the song being played off the cassette, making it a 4 channel output Walkman (there are LED lights on the lid indicating 2 channel / 4 channel modes). All the switches have Japanese labels and it came with a demo tape. My mother had to special order this thru a Sony HK dealer back in the mid 80's and it took months to arrive. The MDR-S30 headphones sound amazingly good off this player, I honestly think they are miles better than these new Sony h.ear stuff (please don't PM me telling me I'm wrong, I know what sounds good to my ears lmao).
But the WM-EX1HG will always be my favorite, well until the mechanism that clicks into place when you insert the cassette breaks within 4 months and the belt getting stretched within a year lol!
BTW I just realized I've always had a Sony Walkman avatar pic here on head-fi (years before I moved onto the NW-ZX2 and later the NW-WM1A):

Here’s my collection of Walkmans!
D-NS707F, NWZ-S544, ZX300
That CD player was legit back in 2004ish. Full EQ, AM/FM, weather radio and even a TV tuner for listening to TV programs! Used to sound great with the included Sony buds but it pretty much sounds like ass with my modern audiophile gear.
I had a late 1980s Walkman that my aunt in Japan sent me. A few years later I bought an Aiwa - wish I could remember the models. The latter was stolen in customs when I flew to the US from Germany.
Remember buying the “high end” metal cassette tapes? Debating on better quality short recording length and the extremely long play ones?

Ah yes and selecting Dolby B or Dolby C. My dad used to work in a recording studio and used to use use the tape machines to play about with Dolby. To my ears Dolby C sounded worse than B.
Here's the 2019 Walkman!! Bluetooth tape player!

Oh man! I forgot about Dolby selection! My Aiwa had another one as well that I can’t recall. Lots of hours of listening to the rotation to figure out which one I liked the best.

Wow, wish I still had my Walkman models from the 80s. I for certain had a yellow model which I do believe was late 1980s. Had a few go through my hands and for a short time I had a Discman. Those shots above are amazing, @purk thanks. I would love to have been there.
