The PC Subwoofer

I don't usually post in the DIY section, in fact I've never posted in this section, but I came across this rather amusing article on the PC Magazine web site about building a subwoofer out of an old PC case. The idea is rather crazy and the the article is well written and somewhat tongue in cheek.

No doubt about that but the author does state as much several times within the article. The only things missing from the article are more pictures of the completed subwoofer and some simple tests of it's output.

I think the whole project was done for fun and it does make for some interesting and funny reading.

Sure but why not build it in a wooden box and get good sound while you're at it

Though how far can you go with a $50 driver...
