It goes without saying that I'm a staunch anti record industry person and spend quite a bit of time looking for and supporting independent labels and bands. I never download music, but I can understand why it is done especially when there is so much crap being crammed down our throats. Anyway, for those of you who are interested in checking out and supporting the true underground music scene, not the one that the industry says is underground, here are a couple review site links to start with:

I have purchased several amazing cd's because of these two sites alone! And lets not forget cdbaby.com either. They have literally hundreds, if not thousands, of indie bands from all genres to choose from and most have sound samples.

Happy searching and I look forward to sharing any advice and/or input. My tastes in music run mostly towards guitar oriented fare which encompasses just about all genres. I like Classical and Opera, but I'm admittedly quite ignorant at this point in these genres.

My favorite Classical/Opera/Guitar Rock band has got to be Merzbow. He is just so awesome. I reccomend ordering as many Merzbow cds as you can, don't listen to any sample first, and prepare to be blown away. Also, make sure you listen to this stuff VERRY VERY loud, to get the full effect.
