the Us version is already out. i am going to install it now. yesterday installed the korean version, it was horrible. the midrange was bloated really bad, vocals and guitar was obtrusive and unbearable. i hope the US sound better.

edit: argh i cant take this. the mids are still bloated. also i can no longer queue my files in any navigation menu beside the file tree. thats very annoying. if i try to queue it in the genre menu it will always play the first song in the harddisk.

Maybe this can explain the sound problems:

well the new version screwed up the sound out of my 140 seriously everything went screechy suddenly, the violin almost blew my ear drums and Cher sounded like Andrea Bocelli.
Luckily you can go bak on the firmware versions
So that is a saving grace atleast.

After hearing these problems, I'm keeping the 1.7 firmware. This new one seems like iRiver just shrugged their shoulders and released a half-assed firmware.

Has anyone else noticed a bug with the numbering of songs? For instance it songs 1-20 would be listed in this order:
1,11,12,13,14,15,16,17,18,19,2,20,3,4,5,6,7,8,9

I don't think it was like this before the new firmwear, but maybe i just didnt notice it. Also, is there any way to get it to actually list songs numerically?

It was like that with earlier firmware versions, just number tracks 1 through 9 as 01, 02, 03, and so on.
