Apologies but have not gone through the entire thread.

Can anyone explain how the mosfet biasing works? Signal is converted to digital and then back to analog? Or do I misunderstand?

There's a controller that tracks temperature of Mosfets and keeps them biased at the same level regardless of connected speakers or headphones. The signal is analog all the way, but the part that oversees Mosfets is a mini CPU essentially. Hope this helps, thanks!

Sure, no problem. I'm glad that I could help. Although unusual, it still is a regular analog stereo integrated amplifier.

I kept away from Klipsch mainly because of treble/glare impressions, does the 23r help with that being a bit warmer than neutral?

This was one reason I asked. I have an older Heresy III pair and there's definitely a good amount of brightness in the highs. Want something warmer to pair with. I got them for a really good deal so it's worth figuring out. Haven't heard the more recent models but definitely would like to.

Hadn't really thought about it much at first, but may. I'm leaning towards the Eddie Current Studio B amp, which should be able to power the Heresys as well. But I could imagine the Enleum being a good candidate as well. All in all, it would be great to have just one solution for the speakers and headphones both.

Given how sensitive Heresy III are, any of these amps has more than enough power to work with them well. Sticking to either one or the other is quite the decision to make, but you should be pleased no matter the choice

I have a second production run 23r (new metal remote, feet included).
Wanted to verify how to utilize the high gain output?
Is it only a matter of using the "voltage 2" input, with no other input/button selection required??

No. You need to use the remote to switch to high gain mode. The manual has instructions but it's basically a long press with the remote and then once the LEDs start blinking you can change from low to high and then long press again to confirm and save.

Yep, was mentioned here and there that this is possible only via remote.

You might be able to through your subwoofer with it doing the crossover or splitting the wire to both, depending on the sub you have those are usually options.
