The New Enleum AMP-23R Amplifier (Successor to Bakoon AMP-13R) Thread

Bakoon HPA-21 (which I'm very happy with and some even say it has the best tuning of them all).
I missed the initial context of this. TBH I dont think the 21 is a "poor mans 13R/23R" as they are very simply too different.

If one cannot afford a 23R or 13R. What might one choose? A "poor mans 23R" ?

Hypothetically.
What are you trying to run, whats your dac, and whats your budget? TBH I wouldn't realy aim for a "poor mans 13/23R" and instead just focus on other options in your price range.

Are you open to tubes at all? Cause IMO that's the way to go with LCD-5. What's your budget? There's a ton of stuff under the cost of 13r

DAC + AMP probably $6000 AUD.

Needs real good precise pre-amping too, as it'll preamp a Purifi based power amp for the speakers on my desk.

I'm not super sure on tube amps with good pres just In general (my tube requirements are kinda wierd) but some to look into off the top of my head are the pathos inpol ears, allnic HPA-3000/5000XL, and maybe something from Felix? (Not sure what their lineups looks like in terms of non-OTL). Another option would be to just get seperate pre and amp or even just get a dac with a good pre and use that directly.

Honestly, different tone and no speaker outs, but just get a Hypsos for your Oor amp. I actually ended up preferring the Ferrum combo over the 23r FWIW.

Have considered it.

It has a lot of hype. And stand alone, the OOR is good, but its not a giant killer. Aries was better (caveat being 2.5 vs 8 watt). But maybe the Hypsos makes a big difference, maybe its only 5%.

So I signed up for buying this Amp at the end of march and paid the $1700 deposit. But so far nothing whatsoever from Enleum....no invoice, email....nowt! I just have the paypal advice of payment. Anyone else entered into a similar black hole. Not a particularly positive first impression! The website also seems to be in a constant state of construction.

I bought my 13R quite some time ago, it was a smooth process sorting things out with Soo In, never have a blackout period or what not. Suggest you sending an email to them to see what went wrong.
