Full disclosure these were given to me as a review sample. I will also note that I've been a fan of Alpine in my car for a long time.

These just arrived and after a quick photo shoot I've begun to give them some head time! I've only got about 20 minutes use so my comments on sound aren't going to hold much weight but I can comment on the build!

Aesthetically the Alpine's remind me a lot of the Monster DNA Over-Ear, albeit less glossy. The headband itself is matte white, with the cups being the only glossy part. Something interesting I found about the headband is that the headband doesn't actually adjust. The earcups actually slide up and down a track on the inside of the headband. Comfort wise the pads are plush and completely cover my ear. Clamping force is moderately strong and downward force of the headband is mild. Even so the headband is firm, but plush, a good mixture for the haptic feedback. The build feels very solid. Despite the huge amounts of plastic these feel very well built, a step above the Monster DNA Over Ear IMO. The build and design of the headphone feels damn good for a company's first foray into the headphone world.

Anyway, that's my quick impressions. I'll gladly field questions about these as I can!

When you get some head time with us, tell us what kind of sound signature. Bass response?

I'm about 30 minutes in so don't take too much from this, but the sound signature seems relatively balanced, perhaps even a bit sub-bass shy without the haptic. With the haptic on it's definitely night and day difference though.

Is Alpine same company as http://www.alpine-usa.com/  ?

Very weird, I cannot find the headphone's model or any information from the website.

Actually I found the site.

http://www.alpineheadphones.com/

http://store.apple.com/us/product/HGRR2VC/A/alpine-bluetooth-wireless-over-ear-headphones

Just named as 'Alpine Headphones' it seems.

So, these headphones, like Synchros from JBL, use active DSP unit to 'enhance' sound. The most interesting thing is a resonance driver, acting like a subwoofer on the headband... That's actually neat way to do it.

Unfortunately, I don't think this will be going to gain interest on this site due to those electronics embedded on the headphones. Still, very nice design.

Yeah, I don't think that they will get much press here, but I think that they're pretty interesting. As for the DSD and other stuff that's in the headphones, I'm honestly not sure how that interacts when plugged into my HA-1. Today I'm going to try it from my Sansa Clip Zip and see. I think the DAC in it is mostly used in conjunction with the app which allows EQ changing over bluetooth or something. I'm not entirely sure.
