The music that i shall use to test my Hugo 2

vocal production on this is wonderful through H2...
Hey guys (and girls), would it be too much to ask that you actually write the words rather than IMG'ing everything? That would save me the trouble and irritation of everyone else on this thread of asking what the pic was. I like discovering new music, too. "Use your words, Mini Me," (Dr. Evil)
Thanks guys.

Yes it is. I bought the 176.4kb/s version from HDTracks.
Thanks for linking me here and I also agree with you about the Miracuolus Methamorphoses. It is but one, of quite a few really good albums from Reference Recordings that belong in any test music collection when evaluating HIFI equipment.

I had an enjoyable evening using Hugo 2 with the new Sgt. Pepper hi res release, and the H2 settings.

I found that the "Dave" filter continues to be my favorite, yet I agree with others regarding the use of x-feed. The first x-feed filter did not "kill off" the soundstage, but actually gave depth to the instruments, particular the subtle piano.

@musickid
You are a violin player
I have just been listening to this album with Hugo 2.
The original recordings from the 1940s are entertaining to listen to, but do suffer from the limits of the recording technology that was available at the time.
In contrast, this modern album of covers, does sound like a very well recorded violin to me, so I thought that maybe it would interest you.

I now wish that I had explored the CBSO whilst Simon Rattle was involved.
I spent many years living in Halesowen, then studying at Birmingham University, so your references to Birmingham do bring back happy memories.
