I hate it when people use words to describe audio that 75% of all people don't even have a clue what it means.
Stuff like papery, leafy, woody, boxy, wooly, wet, sizzly, silly...whatever else.
You know what's also annoying? Websites that review products, but use like a whole 2 paragraphs with endless long words (nobody ever uses) to describe one simple point.
I want a review, not a poem about how a headphone has good bass.
I hate the word "clinical" when used to describe a headphone. Or any headphone that doesn't have really thick and textured mids is always "thin sounding". SRH-940 included.
I'm always tired of people saying....
Oh...that bright headphone you got there? It really doesn't have more detail because it's treble has you fooled.
Give me a break already..I think I can figure out which headphone has more detail.
Then there are those who describe a headphone as having the best of EVERYTHING. Tons of bass, very forward mids and lots of treble. Hardly possible. You have to give up something..
Apparently every bass heavy headphone now has forward mids.
